  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.

This was easily the most moving film I've seen all year. I seriously have been thinking about how to describe it for over an hour, just so you guys would go out and see it. Either rent it, or see it for free on Netflix Watch Instantly.

The movie portrays a group of soldiers stationed in the most dangerous part of Afghanistan for 15 months. They're stationed in the Korengal Valley, which was deemed most dangerous place in the world by CNN in 2007.

This move forever changed the way I view the service members who have seen active duty...just like Band of Brothers made me regret that I never got the chance to talk to my grandfather about WWII, this movie shoves heroism from normal but dedicated (and the word dedicated seems so inadequate here. I wish I could think of another word..) men who looked death in the eye and served their country.

I will literally never look at an active duty soldier the same way again.

Watch Restrepo. Watch it. Do it now. Right Now.

like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner
