Btw, I really like this line-up. Have we seen it before? Much?

Amazing how wide open the lane is when big hair isn't on the floor.

Ok, T.V. isnt going off, C's are playing much better.

With that being said, thank god Doc got Erden out of the game.

A frontline of Baby and Erden is asking to get beat, they cant get a single rebound, they are honestly the worst rebounders I have ever seen in the NBA.

I cant wait for Perk/Jermaine to get back.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Cavs are living on junk shots.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

When is the last time the C's came out of the gates playing like crap and ended up winning the game?

I cant ever recall it happening.

C's win and lose their games in the 1st quarter this year, thats the way its been so far at least.

Well, the C's are 12-4.
They lost to Toronto by 1 because Ray Allen got sloppy in their last possession.  They lost to Dallas by 2 on the road in a game that was close all the way.  They lost to the Thunder after clawing back (remember -- Baby missed 3 FTs in the final moments).   The only game that they stunk it out throughout was the first game at Cleveland.  Where are all these terrible out of the gate buzzer-to-buzzer clunkers?

Oh, and C's are now up 12.

They lost to Toronto by 1 because Ray Allen got sloppy hacked in their last possession.

Fixed that for you.  Good point though.

I like it. C's score and Carr gets quiet.

Really like how the team is asserting themselves out there.  They came out hard but we weathered it and are hitting our stride.

BTW, these segments with Ernie, McHale, and Webber are great.  Glad they sacrificed some ad time to do this.

TP for you since Tommy himself couldn't have said it better.

Did that feel like a short half to anyone else?

Probably helped by the helter-skelter like pace that the Cavs are playing too.

Good finish to the first half.

I think this game really backs up the statistical analysis done today on the Celticsblog homepage:

Our starters are enormously more productive than our bench players.  I really don't like the Semih & Davis combo out there.. it equates to mediocre/bad offense, bad defense, and awful rebounding.

Finally! A good second quarter.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010
