truly a sad day when one takes into consideration what the world lost at the hands of that SOB Chapman.

A truly thought-provoking artist that transcended his medium and many culture barriers.  A tragic loss for all.

Thanks for this remembrance thread!

The was the most painful celebrity loss for me.  Love the Beatles, loved John.  I still shake my head in disbelief every time I think of his untimely and completely unnecessary death.  I, like so many others, heard about the murder while watching Monday Night Football.  Howard Cosell delivered the horrific news. I am sure the Pats were playing, but not sure against who.  Obviously, the game quickly became meaningless.

Amazing to think that he only lived 8 years or so beyond the Beatles' break up.

RIP John Lennon (1940-1980)

I posted a link to a Beatles song in the off-topic forum a few days ago, in case anyone cared  :D
~W. King of Angmar/Dark Lord Sauron, "Sore-on", "Score-on", "Slore-on"/"W. King", "D. Lord" (Wins, Defense)/"W-itch King" (haha), All I do is win, and Cincy - TayoFromOhio 😄

It's easy if you live in the North east

I was also going to put this in the most important Beatles thread but it got here first. Happy birthday
