Wait I saw that someone mentioned changing the simming length to 6 minutes. Can I change the game playing length to make it longer so it's easier to score more points and get objectives?

Yes you can these can be changed in options at any time.

What do people recommend for a quarter length?

Do the objectives stay the same if you increase the minutes?
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz

I do 12 minute Q's, both simmed and played.

[dang] what do you average? I feel like in that many minutes I'd average 25+

Actually, yes, but by simmed I mean the computer playing computer sim 12 min quarters (so if I'm on the Wizards, when the Bulls play the Pistons, they sim 12 min Q's)

I'm sorry, I might have missed something but it isnt like simulating the games in like say, Association mode?

Cause I've played 40 games so far... A lot of tedious time. If I could sim some of those games like in association I'd be pretty happy.

Well I think there is 1 question I haven't answered and 1 thing I miscommunicated.

1) You can sim My Player games by starting and loading a game, then playing it until the half, and "simulate til end" (There is a cutoff point..if you have hit it, it iwll let you sim, if not, it won't)

2) NBA2k11 calls the games played around the league that don't concern you "simulations" also.

I was playing 6 for both my game and cpu sim originally.  When I finally became a starter I put both to 12 minutes.

FYI.  Games take 35-45 minutes per when you play 12 min qt.

I just got traded to the Lakers. My current plan is to do as well as I can, get a lot better then continuously throw the ball away in deciding playoff games.

If I demand a trade in my first year do I get a bad rap for demanding a trade in the second year? I had to demand a trade in my first year because I was signed by the Wizards at the end of the first. There is no way they would take two point guards in the first round when they have two good players that can play the point (Arenas and Hinrich)

LOL!   we were in the EXACT same boat.  Same draft status, same position, same wanting to get off the Wiz cuz of the logjam in the backcourt, and we both got picked up by the Lakers.  Did they trade Sasha Vujacic to get you just like they did with me?

How do I see what they traded for me? We need to show solidarity at the end of the year and both demand another trade.

What ever position I make I always choose athletic so I can can dunk from the jump.  Other then that it is all whatever your play style.

Go to the NBA.com section and it should be in the trades or transaction section cant remember off the top of my head and don't have it in front of me.
