i read somewhere (not sure if this thread or another), there is a playoff for this game with a 20 game minimum participation required.  how is that seeded, by total points or average?

This is by Redz, as of December 29:



Here is a current look at the Playoff Race.  These are composite rankings of Total Points and High Averages.  You need a minimum of 20 games played for the full season to qualify for the Average category (at the third point of the season you need 7 to receive points for the Average category - 18 out of 20 on the list had played the minimum).  So first place for Total Points gets you 20 points, 2nd - 19, 3rd 18 etc...18 is the starting point for Average.  The top 16 make the playoffs.  Tiebreakers go to the player with more Total Points.

pretty much if you keep playing you should be guaranteed one of the playoff seeds (unless you're Edgar  ;) ).  The playoffs seeds are he combined rankings for total point and average points.  You need to be in the top 16 to make the cut.

Here is a current look at the Playoff Race.  These are composite rankings of Total Points and High Averages.  You need a minimum of 20 games played for the full season to qualify for the Average category (at the third point of the season you need 7 to receive points for the Average category (for the current list you need 11... 17 out of 20 on the list had played the minimum).  So first place for Total Points gets you 20 points, 2nd - 19, 3rd 18 etc...17 is the starting point for the Average category for this update.  The top 16 make the playoffs.  Tiebreakers go to the player with more Total Points.
