Hello fellow CBers!

First I would like to thank Jeff and Roy for allowing me to start this thread.
As many of you may know if there is one thing I enjoy more than the Celtics, it would be movies. Many of the posts I contribute here on CelticsBlog are on the Movie forums. On Wednesday I was given an assignment in my Mass Media & Public Relations class to start a blog. Many of the students had no idea what a blog was so I, having a little bit of experience  ;), have been getting a bit of a head start.

I have created a blog for discussing movies. This does not mean that I will no longer post here at CelticsBlog... in fact if I start writing for my own blog, it may influence me to start posting more here at CB.

I know there are a lot of people here that enjoy film as much as I do and there are many people who are capable of having intelligent conversations regarding the topic.

I invite all of you to check out my blog, tell me what you think, follow me, post comments, etc. I have made comments open to anonymous posters, so anybody can feel free to call me a loser or anything they wish, I don't believe in censorship, so go ahead, not that any of you would do that.

I have already posted 4 items, I will have one more coming either tonight or tomorrow, and a review of "The Social Network" on Saturday.

Here is the link: http://filmreviewarchive.blogspot.com/

Enjoy everybody, and thank you for reading!

-Matt

I've been waiting for you to do this for a long time Matt. Seems like a lot of your movie posts have been building towards this. Good luck :)

I've tried to settle down on buying movies until after the holidays so I can buy presents for family and what not... but my girlfriend bought me a few tonight.

-The Manchurian Candidate (Original)
-V For Vendetta
-Oliver & Company (For her)
(Although Oliver & Company was one of my favorite Disney movies as a kid... I don't really remember it anymore.)

Nice colection, Matt. I also like to collect my favorite movies, but mine is not as big as yours yet  :)

Good Luck with the blog.

Good stuff Matt.

While I've only given your blog a brief skim one suggestion I'd like to make is: BE OVERLY CRITICAL!

Too many people have nothing but good/positive things to say about EVERYTHING (which is fine), but they often mask/avoid the bad/negative things about a film.

It's kind of like Celtics fans failing to recognize Tony Allen's flaws as a basketball player. Sure, there's a lot of good but TURNOVER PRONE/A BAD DECISION MAKER are glaring holes in his game that were simply never acknowledged.

Be critical and stay true to yourself.

Best of luck....I'll be keeping my eye on your blog for sure.

How dare you?! Tony Allen is a great player!!! haha just kidding.
thank you for the advice, that is definitely something I'll need to work on, I've found myself only writing about the positive aspects of films before. I also tend to not waste my time reviewing films if I don't like them, which can make it look like I enjoy everything, which is not the case.

Great advice, TP to you and Misha as well for your comments!

Every that kind of list is incomplete without Woody. Hope you'll catch up with his best work.

BTW hope that Cameron Crowe will be there. I rate him very highly.
