Never seen the kid play, but all reports are that he's immensely talented.

Good news for Duke fans.

Since when is Austin Rivers a scrappy white kid with great fundamentals?

Sorry, i kid, the lebron thread has me in that mood today.

Good for the river's clan, Austin can really play be interesting to see how he does under coach K's system.

The thing is, from the one game of his I saw...this description is not that far off.  He reminded me a bit of a cross between Stephen Curry and Mike Dunleavy Jr.

I'll be watching the kid with some interest but I sure as heck won't be rooting for his team.

Great school, too bad he is probably one and done.  Probably a top 5 draft prospect? Does anyone know where Chad Ford has him rated so far? I know he was listed as the number one HS player, but that is different than NBA projectability.

You never know with the NBA draft though... He could fall like Bradley did in stock... Unlikely at Duke but still possible. I'm happy for Doc though.

Become Legendary.

I dont think Doc is going to let him leave early.  Duke while i dont like them takes great pride in their program and graduation rates which i respect.  I think part of the reason he chose duke is because he wont be a one and done

I don't see him coming out with a potential lockout and with no financial troubles. His Dad is a millionaire. He doesn't need to make money right away so he can buy his mom a house.

I expect this year's draft to be weird without a CBA. What happens to rookie scale? To the 4 years they are under the thumb of the team that drafts them?

Not sure about the one and done with him, but man, if Kyrie Irving decides to stay one more year (doubtful), what a back court that would be with the two of them.

I'm convinced Doc and Danny have a side agreement.  In exchange for Doc promising to return this season, Danny promises to tank the season before Austin Rivers declares for the draft, and the C's take him #1.
