I am going to the show in Copenhagen on May 7 next year. I am so excited about it! I saw Waters and his band perform The Dark Side of the Moon at the festival in Roskilde a few years back and it was just a beautiful experience. People were literally crying at the beauty of it all and I saw loads of old "rockers", you know, people that have probably followed Pink Floyd since the early days.

Waters will performing three shows at the TD Garden.

Anyone else out there going to check this out?

I don't think I'm going to be able to swing the Boston show.  I remember being too young to even think about going to the Pink Floyd 1980 2 city 'tour" of The Wall, and being bummed when I missed out on the Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking tour with Eric Clapton, but I did catch the Dark Side tour you spoke of, and it was outstanding.

Have a blast at the show.  Should be quite the spectacle.
Yup

Ah, man, that's too bad. I guess you'll have to buy the dvd (I'm sure they'll put one out)  :)

Yeah ... I'm one of those "Old Rockers" that grew up with Floyd, lol! Dark Side of the Moon is beautific genius, and one of my favorite albums from that era. Saw them once before, and I will definitely try to get to this one, as they put a ton of special fx into their productions, and with recent technology, I can't begin to imagine what they'll come up with ... thanks for the heads-up! I think I'm going to go.  The $125 tickets looks pretty good.  I used to listen to the Wall a little bit in the mid 80's, but I just bought a copy about 3 months ago and my girlfriend and I are hooked.  It's an amazing album.

I did the same thing with Dark Side of the Moon a couple years ago, but I just can't get into it like the Wall.  Some of it probably has to do with all the voices and skits in between the Wall songs, as opposed to the long slow musical parts of Dark Side.

I recently bought the live dvd Pulse, and Live in Pompeii is on the way in the mail.

Does anyone know how Roger Waters solo compares with Pink Floyd with David Gilmoure?  Gilmoure is a great artist himself.

I've seen them both and I'd have to say the Roger Waters show was better.  Waters' personality is a lot harder to replace than Gilmour's guitar prowess.
Yup

I saw Pink Floyd do The Wall in LONDON in 1980.  Unbelievable show.  Paid 50 bucks for scalped tickets (that was a lot in those days).
