Gents, especially FWF, I just got back from a mini-vacation I would have weighed in sooner, but wanted to open discussion here for the note I posted on the CBS page.

This will make keeping things straight much easier. Also, there is no rush to make decisions before the deadline. There are often deals to be made right before the auction involving teams 9th and 10th players or by teams looking to unload a big salary. Keep you options open. Get your rosters in by the deadline for sure, but don't feel like they are priority before the college draft.
Yup

Good call Redz...I was a bit surprised to see teams announce their keepers early, but I figured they could handle their business any way they wanted.  Hadn't considered the trade possibilities though.

Gentlemen and possibly Ladies (it's the Internet, who knows), it is once again time for the annual Keeper League Auction.  The players posted for auction will be CBS' top 120 free agents, based on projections for next year.  As always, you can post and bid on any player not listed, provided they're a free agent and currently on an NBA roster.  You cannot repost a player who's already gone through with no bids, though.

This year, you're not required you to fill out your entire 15-man roster via auction if you don't want to.  We're hoping this will add some flexibility to the process.  However, $1 cap holds for each open slot are still in effect, and your roster must be legal (adding players by FAAB or trade) by the first day of the regular season.

Bidding starts each day at 9 AM EST, and ends at either midnight Eastern or 15 minutes after the last bid, whichever is later.  This is the "anti-sniper" rule, to prevent owners from bidding at the last possible moment.  Once a player has gone a full day with no new bids, they will be awarded to the high bidder, or taken off the table if no one has bid.

During the auction you can bid over the weekends, but no auctions can be won on a weekend.  The auction starts Monday morning (9/17).  Auction order and available salary will be posted separately.  Good luck!

Here is each team's available cap room.  All teams have 7 available roster spots.

Cap Breakdown      $$$
Angry Pickles      114
Boston Beasts      42
Crotors        31
Handsome B Wonderful      62
Make Me Some Bacon      96
Mean Green      54
Toine's Boys      47
Utah Flash      152
Juggernauts      29
Shipyard      63
RIPRED      80
Kentucky Mean   62

EDIT:  After going through rosters, Utah Flash's available salary is actually 152, not 153.  Fixed it up above.

The rookies from the 2012 draft do not count against the cap for the auction right?

Did we decide if the auction winning bid will be the annual salary of the player or not?

The auction winning bid is the salary of the player.

We voted on if what you bid for a free agent would be their salary instead of a default salary of 5 for 2 years.

Yup - this has always been the case with the auction.

We voted on if what you bid for a free agent would be their salary instead of a default salary of 5 for 2 years.

This was what we changed last year.  What you bid via FAAB is the guy's salary (if you win).

Oh yeah, and one small additional note:

There are some rookies on the auction list.  A rookie won via auction can't go on your farm team - they have to be part of your 15-man roster.  Same thing is true of rookies added via FAAB.

Afraid not - IR resets every off-season.  Rubio has to miss 5 consecutive games this season, on your roster, before he can be put on IR.
