Which iconic Boston sports moment gives you the most chills?

Obviously as Boston sports fans we've been blessed with an inordinant amount of "amazing" plays. From Fisk's homer to Flutie's pass. Schillings ankle to Orr's dive.

So which moment still takes your breath away every time you see it.

For me it is when Dave Roberts stole second base.

I live in California now, and its where all of my 3 lil boys were born. The odds of my kids being diehard Boston fans while growing up in California is pretty slim, no matter how much I pressure them

But I remember the first time I sat in front of my computer with my oldest son who was about 3 and a half years old at the time (not that long ago) And I pulled up the dave roberts video. He's only 3 but he is a bright kid and he looooves baseball so he knows what a stolen base is too some extent. But I remember explaining to him exactly what was on the line. Explaining that there were probably 10 million people watching this game and every single one of them, including the yankees KNEW that dave roberts was stealing that base. As soon as he started going my kid started screaming "GO GO GO GO GO, YEAAHHH! DADDY WE WIN!!!" It was one of the greatest moments in my life.

Well, does a "Moment" count as an entire half of a basketball game?

For me, that would have to be Game 4 of the 2007-08 NBA Finals. I will NEVER forget that game.

This isn't really an iconic sports moment.  But this video always gives me goosebumps. National Anthem type deals always do that to me.

My #1 & #2 favorite Boston sports moments are (1) seeing them roll out the platforms during the fourth quarter of game 6 2008 in preparation for the trophy ceremony and (2) the banner raising for #17 (the ring part was pretty sweet too).

I loved the 84 and 86 celtics teams and there were some amazing moments but nothing beats for me when ray broke down sasha off the dribble and Pierce's reaction is one of just pure joy, love of the game, all that. That comeback makes that team so special.It made it actually a bit easier for me to deal with the lakers beating us this year. Beacause I wanted the celts to win in 2008 for ME. In 2010 I wanted them to win for them.

Sure does, that was the greatest moment of my life as a celtics fan, I was born in 82 so i wasnt really able to appreciate the bird teams as much as this last one. Was almost as good as the sox winnin in 04, better than them winnin in 08
