I think this is an interesting topic, TP to the OP. I was thinking of a similar trade along the same lines. it would be a huge gamble by both teams but if it panned out for both they might meet in the finals.

Rondo, Perkins & Marquis
for
Oden, Andre Miller, Batum and Rudy

The numbers on this trade are really close but you'd have to tweak it with some loose change to make it work.

Why this might work for both teams and what they'd look like after the trade.

Boston:

Oden / J O'neal / Kwame
KG / Baby / Harangody
Pierce / Batum / Marquis
Ray / Rudy / Wafer
Andre Miller / Nate Robinson / Bradley

* It depends on Ainge's expectations for Bradley. They say he can defend and shoot. If Oden stays healthy finally and Bradley's the real deal, you have a great future point and a franchise center, with Batum and Rudy in the wings as your nucleus.

Healthy oden and KG = sick, sick, sick. S-I-C-K.
The main gamble for Boston is Oden's health.
But you get some nice pieces for the future

For Portland it looks just as good:

Camby / Perkins
Aldridge / Cunningham or Pendergraph
Marquis Daniels / Babbit
Roy / Matthews
Rondo / Bayless

They'd maybe have to use Joel P's expiriing contract and some change to land a decent starting SF and they could be rolling.

Rondo and Roy would be absolutely sick in the back court together and Perkins is the perfect compliment to Aldridge.

Rondo and Perk bring veteran toughness and championship experience to Portland.

Gamble for Portland is Perkins health.

I'm not sure I'd even do this trade if I were Ainge but it's definately interesting.

Same as the OP's trade was interestng.
