I found this article on slamonline.com where they are proposing different scenario's as to where Gilbert Arenas could end up.

One of the deals was this:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2blxbf6

Eddy Curry, Azibuike, and Oliver Lafayette to the Wizards

Gilbert to New York

and

Bill Walker back to Boston.

What are your thoughts?

We don't add anything to the equation.  We don't help salaries match.  All we do is give up a guy who might not make the team for Bill Walker.

Isn't happening.

That only makes sense if it is due to Walker having a guaranteed contract and Lafayette having a non-guaranteed contract.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Walker does have a guaranteed contract (for $854K) this year with a team option for next year. Lafayette obviously doesn't. Still not likely to happen but in theory, it could if the Wiz wanted to dump some additional salary.

For the retro-obsessed I'd prefer Walker to Toine or Posey or Green (or Greene, for that matter) or West or Telfair or...
