I'm shocked that he didn't play in the NBA last year, I think he was one of the players effected by the recession. Anyways, unlike Gerald Green he actually has some bball iq, although he might have been a punk when he played in minnesota, he showed he is a good scorer and is a willing defensive player. I wanted Boston to sign him with a portion of the MLE last year, but I guess he was pricing himself out of all NBA teams.

I want the Celtics to sign Mccants and DJ strawberry and we will have some versatile, young, defensive minded wing players, one who is an excellent scorer(mccants) and one who is very versatile and can play 3 positions(strawberry).

These 2 are the young and cheap wing players that we need.

RASHAD MCCANTS!!!!!

DJ STRAWBERRY!!!!!

I have always liked Rashad McCants. I think he has good potential and could develop well on a veteran team like the Celtics.

I would be very happy to sign him to minimum contract and give him one of the final roster spots.

Nice low risk high reward signing. Similar to Von Wafer in Houston a couple of years ago.

If Strawberry can play 3 positions, why hasn't he played 1 the past 2 years?

The story on MCCANTS is that.

The story on this guy is that he is a trouble maker, and that he disrupts team chemistry, we have a very emotional team with vets I don't think they want a punk on this team.

Possible, though you'd think that Danny may go after someone a bit taller given that he drafted Bradley.

McCants is a trouble maker and not a guy that we want in the locker room. I like Bradley better than McCants.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
mccants and strawberry both suck...there's a reason neither of these guys see a minute of nba playing time.  i'm not sure why i keep seeing these names floated out there - i guess we're willing to reach for anything at this point...

Im in favor of McCants at the minimum. He scored 14 per a couple years ago and can shoot the 3. He's 6'4" so he can definitly guard 2s.

Interesting article on him in this month's ESPN too.

McCants could talk some good trash to Odom too if we meet in the Finals again (relegating him to being ineffective)...McCants dated Khloe Kardashian for awhile before she married LO.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
At this point I'd give him a camp invite. I'm not opposed of bringing a lot of wings to camp and having them fight for the last few spots.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Rashad McCants
