I hope that we don't get out of the draft to save money. In some articles people have mentioned saving money in the draft so they can go after other vets. This better not mean that they are considering not using the MLE if they do draft players.

As a fan we sell out the building almost every night, please don't go the cheap route and start selling picks.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

ugh...make the pick plese. no more picking bill walker and giddens low in the draft. boston needs young guys in this draft. i like the move trading down with the griz to get the 25th and 28th pick along with their second rounder...no more wasting time on guys that will never play

So I guess that now means we should expect to see the Celtics trade into the Top 10.

Nothing exciting is happening today for the C's, guys.

That said, trading the pick should have nothing to do with financial motives.  The C's just made a bunch of extra money playing all the way into June.  That should cover any veteran signings for the summer.

Jeez Pos, its like everywhere I look today you're going from thread to thread spreading hypothetical bad news. You get bit by the grumpy bear this morning or what, kiddo? Draft Day is all about the dream, man.

Yup, it's now looking like the Celtics will nab a lottery pick.

Just trying to be realistic.

There are plenty of exciting things that may happen for other teams, just not the Celtics today.  The C's just don't have anything to work with right now so it's unreasonable to hope for big things.

In a year or two when the C's are rebuilding we can dream about trade scenarios and exciting draft moves

Seriously. Why even bother following the Celtics right now?

I agree but Peter May and Andy Katz both seemed to make the point that if they traded a 1st this year for a future first it would be so they could sign a vet. This would make sense if they were below the cap, but since we aren't it indicates the ownership might be wary of spending money this year.

The bruins own the TD Garden. I don't think the c's make any money on food/beer/parking sales. Not sure how it all works out, but I know they don't own the garden

Yea, not so sure about the negativity. Teams are selling off good players and picks because of financial messes...any team  getting in the lottery is in play.

Don't be disappointed if Boston just sells the #19 pick
