At this time I want to clarify what the roles of the panelists will be. The panelists are outside observers giving objective opinions on each team being constructed and their strengths and weaknesses. They will or can suggest which year of a player to choose, who might work well with that player and who might not. As an owner you can ask advice of them publicly.
The panelists, if willing being impartial observers, can make a pick for you if you give them the authority to do so with a list of players you would want them to choose from. If you provide them or me or anyone else a list of players to choose from and all those players have been selected, they then can not select for you.
If by 9:00PM an owner has not selected a player for his team I will be conducting a poll of the panelists asking them to vote for a player they think that team should draft that is still available. This will be done confidentially through PMs and I will then announce the player selected using this process the next morning if the owner has not come on line to select.
Let me make this clear. This process of selecting a player for an owner is a last ditch effort and every attempt will be made to allow an owner to make his own choice. But rather than severely handicapping one of our franchises by letting the draft continue on the next day without a franchise making a selection in the previous day's draft, this procedure will be used.
At the end of the draft process, owners will be allowed a few days to put together a post detailing their teams players, make up and why they believe their team is the best. Again a confidential poll will be conducted of the panelists and Awards will be given out based on these polls.
I will send out the results of each panelist's poll to each of the panelists so that they may see who each of the other panelists voted for for transparency's sake. I would ask each panelist to keep those results private.
Thanks everyone for the participation, panelists and owners alike. Remember this is for fun first and foremost, so have tons of fun. This is a new format for one of these drafts so bare with me as we try it out.
