I have this idea that I am looking to do for the Celticsblog Hall of Fame. I originally asked my friend if he could do it but he became to bogged down in work and other situations to make the time. Each year there will be members of Celticsblog, whether staff, behind the scenes people or former influential people or former and/or current members selected for induction.

I would like to create some artwork to reveal who these people are in an Inductees only thread. My idea revolves around having the Celticsblog logo, a new logo saying Hall of Fame and then the member's username and a brief description of the member and their contributions and the year in which they are inducted put into some art that looks like a bronze plaque.

I don't know how difficult this is but I imagine once the artwork for the plaque and such is done that just changing the names, dates and verbiage would be easy.

I am unfortunately unable to pay money for this and am looking for volunteers and ideas to help. I can offer nothing more than the gratitude of your fellow Celticsblog members and Tommy Points for your efforts.

If you are interested, please PM me and we can discuss further details.

Thanks ahead of time

Nick

And let me add:  contrary to the belief of some, those TPs will come one at a time, rather than en masse. ;)

Thanks for helping out, nick.  I'll chip in some TPs to those who help with the graphics.

Very very very busy atm, and I don't like spending my free time on what I do during the day as well... though of course I'm willing to make an exception for CB. Don't expect miracles, but lemme work on something real quick.

Brb.

Note that:

- I just came back from a heavy basketball practice
- I'm very effing tired since it's 0:55 at night and I got up at 5am, after getting a mere 4 hours of sleep
- I'm going to have to finish work on a design for a client right now too, so I'll be working 'till about 4, 5am.

So, this mightn't be very much what you wanted, but you can steer me the right way if you don't mind.

Here's the example:

You could use this if you like it...

or this....

Maybe you can put the Celtics logo/clover leaf at the top and the poster's name at the bottom. I don't know how to use photoshop so pls. ignore it if it can't be done. :)

I admire people who can create amazing things with Photoshop and realize other people's requests. In a nutshell, I'm very admirative of the graphists.

But I also hate them, and you, Kiorrik, when they, like you, realize a beautiful creation and yet say "Yeah, just preliminary work, no time at the moment, just a test", etc. You're so skilled that even the least effort and amount of time makes you creations really good and so much better than what us, poor "common mortals", can make in days and days of work. Life is unfair. :P

TP for your effort and your beautiful pic though. :-X

Good catch, ACF....CelticsBlog....that is not nitpicking....that is what editing is all about....catch the small mistakes before a project is finalized.
