I'm trying to help my friend put together a list of New England rappers, I know a few off the top of my head but I guess he wants to assemble a huge list for his listening pleasure.. And with a lot of hip hop junkies on here, I figured this would be a good place to start..

Off the top of my head, here's what I got..

Reks, Terminology, Slaine, Mr. Lif, Ed OG, Esoteric, Apathy and that's about it for me. If anyone can add to the list, TP's will be awarded.  :)

Edan

Not really from the area, but studied at Berklee and did his thing locally.

Good list, except for missing Guru, who is originally from Roxbury and is thus the best Boston emcee by like 15 million miles.

Lyrics in following vid are NSFW:

Ray Dog Scott aka Benzino's boys almost killed Paul Pierce, but he probably deserves a mention here as well, just because the list is so short.

I am actually friends with this dude (long story)...XL, he was part of the Kreators and has rapped with Guru and other greats. I think he is absolutely an insane rapper. In case you are wondering he is the white guy.

Sweet.. I was into pretty much everything everyone posted. Tp's to all.

Cant believe I didn't think of Guru, that one hurts my pride, I think. Had no idea Sage Francis was from Providence, I don't listen to him a lot, but I think he does a lot with the whole Rhymesayers crew (Slug from Atmosphere, Eyedea, POS I think)

He's not from New England, but more people should check out POS. He's unique in the hip hop genre, and I like it.

I dont know if anyone has heard of Raw Produce. They are a group, since disbanded consisting of Cadence (MC) and Pitch (producer).

Cadence still releases music I think.

Oh yeah you forgot Scientifik. He was killed in his early 20's in the 90's but he was on his way up. He was VERY talented.
