Best Cover Songs of All Time

Hey Guys,

Was going through my I-Tunes last night and noticed that I seem to be lacking in the Covers department. So I figured I'd start a thread for purely selfish reasons..

Here's a few of my favorites:

-Ryan Adams/Whiskeytown - Dreams (Fleetwood Mac)
-Tom Petty, Prince & "Friends" - While My Guitar Gently Weeps (The Beatles)
-Eddie Vedder - Let My Love Open the Door (Pete Townshend)

BTW, if you've never watched/heard that version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" I can't possibly overstate how amazing it is. Skip forward to Prince's solo, KILLS it. Jaw on the ground level.

5) Aerosmith--Train Kept A'rollin, Walking in the sand, Come together.
6) Stevie Ray Vaughn--ALl along the Watchtower, Superstition

I would say those are my favorites, at least off the top of my head.  Although I could name a bunch of other covers that Guns'N' roses does, basically the Spaghetti Incident.

That's my list, in no particular order

EDIT: The Chieftans also do a great cover of the Irish folk song "Foggy Dew" with Sinead O'Connor

RATM's Renegades album is a well done, eclectic mix of covers.

I also liked GNR's Spaghetti Incident album.

Stone Temple Pilots cover of "Dancing Days" by Led Zeppelin is another good one.  

Nirvana's cover of Bowie's "The Man Who Sold the World" is absolutely amazing.
