He was just on NBA shootaround on ESPN and said the C's are looking to move Ray and then he said Kings might be a match because they are trying to move Martin.

Sounds like Adande just speculating.  About as reliable as a post from Hoopsworld

He's such a Laker fanboy, I'm surprised he can say the word "Celtics" without bursting into flames on TV.

I am still undecided if I like this deal for the Celtics. On one hand, I love how Martin could potentially fit into our offense. He a very efficient scorer and with Rondo who unlike Evans is a pass first pg will thrive

On the other hand his defense is questionable and at the sg spot there are a lot of tough matchups for him. Also he seems pretty injury prone.

But if Danny has the balls to do it, I'll support it. We aren't gunna get anything for Ray if we don't trade him now so I think this would be a good calculated risk.

He has the physical tools to defend at least.

I thought Martin was untouchable...or at least, that's what that SB Nation writer said.

Untouchable I doubt he is, but I also don't believe the Kings are trying to move him for a big expiring.

If a deal for Martin comes to Danny and it is

Bos sends: Ray, BBD + 1ST
Sac sends: Martin + Nocioni

Or

Bos sends: Ray + 1st
Sac sends: Martin + Kenny Thomas(exp)

You have to do those deals. Martin is a very talented young SG who is about to enter his prime and is signed for a reasonable contract.

Martin + Thomas match what Danny is looking for a young, cheaper SG and an expiring.....

KMart would be great for our team.

Only concern I would have is his proneness to injury.  Otherwise, he's great.

With all of the injuries this season, I just have a hard time trading for a player who has only played 15-16 games this season, and has had a history of injuries.  Not only that, but a player with a 4 year contract, that scares me a lot.

If I'm gonna trade a healthy player, who has played in every game this season in Ray Allen, I have to have a healthy player in return.

I just look at Kevin Martins injury history and his 4 years on his contract, and I look at a healthy Ray Allen and his expiring contract, who is willing to sign for a lot less next season, I just have a hard time doing this deal.

Not to mention, chemistry issues.

That's about right.  Just because there's a potential match doesn't mean either (let alone both) sides want to do it.

KMart would be great for our team.

Let's be careful here, KMart is Kenyon Martin's nickname (a Denver player), Kevin Martin is a different player.  Adande linked Ray with the Sacramento Kings player Kevin Martin.

I know he is a Laker guy (and understandably so, since he is from LA), but I always love him on ATH. He's got a great personality and sense of humor.

None of that really has to do with his credibility to any 'rumors', but if this is does come to fruition, I won't be terribly disappointed.

I know who Kevin Martin is, and plenty of people call him K-Mart too.

I'm fully aware of who Kenyon Martin is, also.
