I may have missed this somewhere on the site but is there going to be another friendly competition on the blog for the best bracket predictions like there have been in years past?

Wow - Duke was given a bracket with a #2 seed (Nova) that lost 6 of its last 10, a #3 seed (Baylor) that hasn't won a tourney game in 60 years, and a #4 seed (Purdue) that lost its best player and has played like an NIT team since.  Meanwhile Kansas has to deal with Ohio St, Georgetown, and Maryland, and Kentucky's got W Virginia, New Mexico, and Wisconsin.

They also got seeded over a Syracuse team with a better record in a better league, because Duke squeaked by 3 sub-.500 teams in the ACC tournament, and Cuse lost to a 3 seed (G'Town) who was in the Top 10 all year but finished 8th in the league because their best wing missed a couple weeks with diabetes.

Somebody up there sure likes those Dukies...

The "Madness" starts tomorrow.  Can't wait.  It's always a fun time of the year.

Was just reading in SI today.  Didn't realize that UTEP's coach is Tony Barbee.  I remember seeing him play at the Worcester Centrum in the '92 NCAAs for UMass.  Classic game between the Minutemen and Syracuse that was won by UMass.

Nice to see that he's considered one of the up and coming young coaches in the college game.

I just took a glance at the NCAA Brackets...I Love It ;D.

For the Virginia Folks, just Think about the Potential Sweet Sixteen Matchup in the South Bracket in Houston:

Old Dominion Monarchs VS Richmond Spiders!!

Sweet!

Those Monarchs are Doing It!! One more half, People!!!

Killing them on the glass! And Luke Harangody is like 1 for 9 ;D

These games have all been nuts! March Madness is definitely upon us!!!!
"The emblem of a warrior, it's the swagger of an athlete, a champion and dynasty, it's gifted, golden, genuine and glorious. It is a lower-case god. It's the goat. The greatest of all time. What's G? It is the heart, hustle and soul of the game."

Even though I have Nova in my final 4 (I know dont ask why), I was whole heartedly rooting for Bobby Mo (Robert Morris) to pull of that upset.

Yaaaayyy!!!! ODU stuns Notre Dame!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

Now, just need Richmond to beat St Mary's..definite possibility!

Before you know it, there'll be a Virginia Sweet 16 (ODU VS Richmond) in Houston!!
