The negatively around here is actually making me happier.

What? Semi, Theis, Baynes, Rozier, and Tatum can't quite beat the Warriors?

That's pretty fantastic.

I think we are having a great season considering we lost a starter.

  • Its RE-SIGN, not RESIGN
We may have been the first team to 10 wins, were definitely the firstly to 20 wins, and may yet be the first team to 30 wins this season. What's not to be optimistic about?

Most wins in the league, on pace for 62-63, best defense in the league, one of the youngest rosters. Optimism city!

Lose Hayward 5 minutes into the season.

Right now: 32-10, on track for the #1 seed and could be adding another key piece (or two) via DPE and Vet. Min. exceptions in the coming months.  8)

I saw a stat on ESPN last night, where over the past 365 days the Celtics have had the second best record in the league at 62-24.

Warriors: 68-18
Celtics: 62-24
Spurs: 59-27
Rockets: 54-27
Heat: 55-28

We have the best record in the east while being 18th in total contracts $. If you remove Haywards 30 mil, we're the 3rd lowest after Chicago and Dallas. That is the basis for Stevens coach of the year argument.

The last Zach Lowe podcast I listened to (I think with Jeff Van Gundy) Lowe said something like "Brad Stevens basically has Coach of the Year wrapped up." It took me by surprise a bit just because of how blunt he was about it. It would be a nice recognition after this season, for sure.
