For all the talk about Boston's tough go of it lately, the Fakers have the same disappointing record in the last 10 games. And did you notice that their road record at 10-8 is just barely above .500? Of course, it's probably from lack of practice since they have not seen the road that much yet.

Yeah, we've had our struggles at home, but I've always contended that teams that can win on the road are the best teams.

Anyways, lets see if ESPN and the other Faker worshipers pick up on this.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
LA also won the championship last season, and has effectively only upgraded their roster.

As far as I'm concerned they're the best until they're beaten or they implode.

I like the latter IndeedProceed... "Or they implode" LOL... Which could happen with Ron Ron and all the personalities on that team.

Every team, no matter how good, will have its ups & downs during the regular season.  When you have 5+ months of regular season games, you'll hit some bumps.

As Heinsohn said, it's January and "rubber room time".

Yeah, I agree that it's "rubber room time" and that LA won it last year so they are the team to beat. My point in this post was that for all the critics dumping on the C's (and a lot of them are here), if you take a 10 game comparison (or a 1/4 of the games played so far) there's no difference...so don't sweat the "rubber room time". What counts is how we are playing, and how healthy, post All-Star break heading into the spring.

And I still believe that a healthy C's squad will beat a healthy Fakers squad...homecourt or not.

Lakers suck.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

true but we as a fan base also need to stop comparing our team's success and flaws to other elite teams success and flaws. If we are a championship caliber team, which we are, then we can't downplay or say, hey the Lakers arent playing to well so it's not a big deal that we arnet. Or, Orlando, L.A, and Cleveland arnet too athletic so why should we try to upgrade our bench?
Thats just not a winning mentality. We should want to put our team in the best position to win as possible, no matter what other teams are doing

Defensively they upgraded their roster, Artest has really hurt their offense.

Additionally Kobe is banged up and a year older, that's not a recipe to get better...

If you switched the names Artest with Wallace and Garnett/Pierce with Kobe, the same goes for the good guys.

I dunno, I hated it last year when Lakers/Cavs fans bagged on the Celtics. I think we ought to extend the same courtesy to other teams.

Yea, defensively, they are ranked 2nd in the league in PPP allowed. (I think this is almost the end-all stat to measure defense in the league)

Main thing is: they are struggling right now and the reasons are this:

1. Gasol is hurt and not 60%.
2. Lulls of the season.
3. Certain players slumping. (Odom and Artest)

And, get this, those are all ACCEPTABLE excuses. You'd be pretty daft to not pick them for the Finals at this point.

That is why I am not jumping off of the ledge with our team. And with Mo will and Delonte out, I expect the Cavs to go through similar struggles.

I wasn't bagging on them, I just don't think they "upgraded" all too much. They kept the same team, and switched a better fit young SF for an older more defensive SF.

Meanwhile Kobe/Fisher got older, I still think the Lakers are coming out of the west.

Hedo sold the foul just like any euro player. Initiate the contact and flop. I hate Hedo as much as I hate Fakers. Toronto got fooled by that fat slob. He took the cash and ate pizza.
