Speaking of "fire sales", just watched "Live Free Or Die Hard" yesterday ... my second favorite in the "Die Hard" series ... Jason Long was an excellent pairing with Bruce Willis ... love it.

Buried. If you want to see an ok movie totally set in a wood coffin, than this movie is for you. Did I mention it's 90 minutes?!? :'(

Gnomeo and Juliet with my two youngest girls. That had to be one of the most disappointing shows I have seen in a long time. The kids liked it okay, but it was absolutely terrible. They could have done so much more with it. Great idea, horrible execution. Reminded me of a Tony Allen drive to the middle...

saw "Unknown"  last night. It was pretty entertaining, but formulaic.

The movie is far more useful for the joke possibilities of its title.  I received several eye rolls and arm punches from my wife for commenting on how the listings didn't seem to know the name of this movie and similar type stabs at humor.
Yup

I watched 127 hours last night. I`d heard good reviews but i didn`t have high hopes. I mean it`s about a guy stuck under a rock (by itself is a big deal don`t get me wrong, my objections were about the movie).

I expected 2/3 of the movie to be flashbacks but Boyle and Franco did a great job. You felt like you were there in the hole watching Aaron trying to set himself free.

Just Go With It.

Happy Madison Films has become the Olive Garden of movies. You go in, you expect to be satisfied, but not blown away, and you usually are. This was the case here.

Crazy Heart.

The Dude was fantastic but the movie was pretty predictable and formulaic.

All in all I did like it but I was a bit bored through the middle.

Vertigo
8/10
Alfred Hitchcock classic starring Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak. This was a good movie, not Hitchcock's best though. It seemed rushed. There wasn't enough closure for any of the characters. As soon as the film hits its climax... it's over. It seemed like there was no conclusion and I found that disappointing. Character development was very good, acting was terrific, the emotions seemed real, the plot was interesting, and the twist was fairly good.

An Education
6/10
I couldn't get by the plot. Carey Mulligan plays a very naive although very likable English girl who is planning on attending Oxford. She falls for an older man who I would say is at least 10 years older than her but I don't believe his age is ever mentioned. Her parents allow her to see him multiple times and seem to even fall for him themselves. I didn't find this realistic and thus did not really enjoy the film. I liked Mulligan and Peter Sarsgaard as the "love" interest. I may have liked the movie more if Mulligan's character snuck around behind her parents back. I would have considered that to be more believable.

Alice in Wonderland
6/10
(The Tim Burton version)
I've actually never seen the Disney animated classic from the '50s (I think that's when it was made). This movie was interesting... I'm not really sure who's supposed to like this movie. I can't see little kids enjoying and I definitely can't see most adults liking it. I actually thought it was going to be much better with people like Burton, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway being involved.

Date Night
6/10
Not a bad comedy... not a good comedy either. Some things made me laugh out loud. I probably wouldn't watch it again but it was funny to watch once.
