My Pixar list of preference:

Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
Monsters, Inc.
WALL-E
Toy Story 1
Toy Story 3
Toy Story 2
Up
Cars
A Bug's Life
Ratatouille

It's a pretty liquid list after "Finding Nemo", sometimes it changes ... it's all a "mood" thing with me. ;)

I just watched the Black Swan. I found it very boring. It wasn't my thing, but I can see how some people may enjoy it.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford  (2007)

(Recommended by MattG12.  Thanks.)

I really enjoyed this movie, which was quite different from most westerns.  Not really a shoot-em-up action adventure. Psychological character studies of outlaws, filled with tension and drama. Grand scenery and noir photography, though.

In my opinion, any movie over two hours is too long, but the scene of Nick Cave singing in the bar was worth waiting for.

On a movie binge the past 2 days
Finally saw Crash.  Excellent movie.

Saw "9" - the apocalyptic doll movie not the musical.  that was pretty good.

Saw Drag Me To Hell.  Very Good Movie.

Saw Percy Jackson: cliche teen flick

Saw the Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus.  had to turn it off after 15 minutes--had no interest.

Gulliver's Travels  ::)

It had its moments.  Kids enjoyed it.

Oh, man...  My blood pressure rises ever time I see that trailer.  Gulliver's Travels is such a great novel.  To see it dumbed down to that level just gets under my skin.

Last movie I saw was Black Swan.  I thought the acting was terrific, and the plot is well done, in that it gives you a lot to think about.

The Town

Not really a law and order guy---and I was offended by this movie--rooted for the cops--see no way a criminal gets that woman and outcome should have had Ben spending the rest of his life in prison--the movie was wrong minded especially after all the jeopardy they put woman, children the innocent  public in.  Just imagine a loved one in the area of one of the robberies--to glorify any of those people is offensive.
Days up and down they come, like rain on a conga drum, forget most, remember some, don't turn none away.   Townes Van Zandt

TP for the review.

I'm glad you liked it for the most part... you gave an excellent description. I'm a bit of an extreme movie lover and probably an outlier in that in my opinion any movie that is under 2 hours is too short. I love long, in depth movies... but i can completely understand why somebody would consider "The Assassination..." too long.

Just watched "The Dark Night" again yesterday ... Heath Ledger, (as the Joker), with one of the most incredible performances in recent movie history, IMHO.
