Haven't finished the last 30 minutes.  It's lonnnggggggggggg.

Actually better than I thought it would be, which isn't saying much.

Yeah, cut 30 minutes and it'd be better.  I've seen worse.

Last one I watched was ZombieLand which is brilliant ..
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.

Definitely long and besides the drawn our car driving scenes while the world is ending around them i enjoyed it too.

I thought this was the best place to post this.  I'll be heading over to catch Tron this morning 9 am est.  I'll give you my impression and whether it's any good.  I suspect it won't be but, who knows maybe I'll be surprised.

I can't wait to hear your review!  I'm looking forward to this movie, and might catch it Saturday.

What other sci-fi movies of the past 2 years do you guys recommend??

Solitary Man.

I thought it was a really good movie, though I was disappointed by the ending.

Ok so I saw Tron and while it was mostly a special effects driven movie (obviously) it was actually pretty entertaining.  Not very much of plot which I expected but, Olivia Wilde's character soothed those complaints.  Jeff Bridges didn't disappoint either making a few comments that anyone who's seen the Big Lebowski will enjoy.

I wanted to add there is a pretty interesting concept they came up with regarding Jeff Bridges character.  In a way he's an allegory for God.  Or the creator..  Which isn't earth shattering news if you are aware of the original story.  But they expound on that a lot more in this movie.

I would give it a 2 1/2 stars out of 4.

Next up True Grit.  : )

I watched Quid Pro Quo last night. It's about a paralyzed radio worker who discovers this underground of able bodied people who want to be paralysed. It was pretty interesting, I liked it.

Second movie I checked out was called Five Fingers, I believe. For anyone who's seen Rendition, it practically mirrors that movie. Also thought it was worth a watch, although it does have a few graphic moments. Nothing too terrible, but still worth noting.

"The Black Stallion" ... it has been so long since I saw it, that I'd completely forgotten what a work of cinematic genius it is. The director, Carroll Ballard, and cinematographer Caleb Deschanel, weave a tapestry of visual enchantment and artistry is that has rarely been matched.

Carmine Copolla's score is absolutely magical as well, and the horse they used for the island scenes, is one of the most beautiful Arabians I've ever seen! There is hardly any dialogue through the first thrid of the movie, yet it is completely captivating.

Loved it back then, and I've renewed that relationship all over again ... amazing!

The Fighta - Mark Whalberg does an excellent job with the film. It deserves the praise it's getting.

Other Guys. It's no Step Brothers. It's one of those films that wants to be a comedy but also wants a little action. Pineapple Express like. Anyways, there are some funny parts but the Uncut edition ran about 30 minutes too long. I'd say it's ok.

I agree with this 100%.  It's not a real good movie but it has its funny moments.  The whole Will Ferrell/Eva Mendez thing I thought was hilarious.

I also just recently saw SALT with Angelina Jolie.  It was ok.  I would have liked it a lot better if they didnt make some things that happen in the movie so unbelievable.  I'm one of those people where if something happens in a movie that makes you wave your hand at the TV and say 'Yeah Right" it really ruins it for me.  One example in this movie is Angelina Jolie jumping down an elevator shaft  from side to side on the steel beams, dropping 2 to 3 floors at a time.

However I thought the plot was real good and there are a couple of cool twists.
