Dinner for Schmucks. Mildly entertaining movie. Wittier and funnier than I thought it would be. Some very quick, fast jokes that a bunch of the audience missed that I thought was very well done.

Watched a documentary called Dear Zachary last night.  Incredible movie.  Makes you feel everything from heartache to rage to hope.  It's on Netflix streaming right now.  I cannot recommend it enough.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
The Green Zone: Slow, kind of hybrid between Body Of Lies and The Bourne movies...much more in the vein of Body of Lies.

Resident Evil: Still my favorite zombie movie.

Going Postal: I love Terry Pratchett more than any other author out there. Still, I didn't love this movie as much as I wanted to. Watchable, but not the experience i was hoping for. I don't know how reading the book affected that.

Inception--really was as great as the critics said...if you haven't seen it, you probably should!

Shutter Island.
BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!
I slept on this one for a long time because someone I thought(past tense) was reliable source told me it sucked. I should have known better than to listen to someone who enjoys Tyler Perry movies. I can't say a bad thing about this movie. I don't want to give anything away so I'm just gonna say it makes you want to watch it twice, because all seems so obvious then.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I give it a 3/5. I am always disappointed when Kristen Bell plays characters that lack the brains of Veronica Mars. She was brilliant in that. Jason Segel seems a bit of a one note actor to me, but he is good at that one character.

"Alien" ... the original (Ridley Scott) ... haven't watched it in years, but it hasn't lost a thing. Truly a masterpiece of suspense ... the amount of time you actually see the creature is maybe 180 seconds, tops, yet it is more suspenseful than any of the others, (they went more the way of "horror" in the sequels, I think ... horror and action, (loved the first sequel, too, though).
Alien was the scariest movie I watched as a kid. Definitely got the most bang for the buck from the creatures.

I agree that the sequel was great. It had to show more aliens just because it was a sequel and the same formula wouldn't work a second time.

the last movie I actually payed to see was Inception.

That's two films starring Leonardo DiCaprio in one year, not sure how I feel about that. I mean, Shutter Island and Inception are both a nice contrast from some of his earlier stuff (Titanic, Gangs of New York, Romeo and Juliet) though even these two films are starting to develop into a sort of niché.

In other news, apparently the James Bond franchise won't be able to release any new sequels for at least half a decade due to the fact that its owner MGM Grand has filed for bankruptcy. Sorry Daniel Craig, but 'Le'Bron James, (along with Wade and Bosh) will likely be the one leading the way as far as revenue from ticket-sales is concerned for at least the foreseeable future.  ;)

"The Other Guys", Will Ferrell's new movie with Mark Walhberg.

Do not believe the reviews. This movie wasn't anywhere near as funny or entertaining as "Anchorman" or "Talladega Nights".

Very disappointed.
