Farewell My Concubine. A bit long. Probably lost a lot in translation since I don't know much about Chinese culture and history. Still very enjoyable.

I'm watching Rocky IV (my favorite one). Too bad Stallone had  to ruin a great thing with that awful sequel. The last Rambo at least was campy and unintentionally hilarious. Rocky Balboa was just a dud.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Toy Story 3. Now, I was a little kid when the first ones came out and I loved them then, Im 18 now and TS3 was still incredible. Seriously, one of the best movies I've seen in eons. It actually touched me emotionally, which is something extremely few movies can claim.

The Messenger. Woody Harrelson movie where he and another guy (who is really the lead) inform next of kin that their loved one was killed in battle. Very touching. Well made.

I have to thank Netflix's automated recommendations because I hadn't actually heard of the movie before.

I think this one's on the docket for next weekend.  Did you see it in 3D?  We finally got a 3D theater near us.

I saw Karate Kid last weekend with my family.  Nice movie. The scenery in China was pretty amazing (not sure why they had to practice on top of the Great Wall, but it made for a great looking scene).  I also thought they could have done a bit more to capture the political environment.

Really enjoyed it though. Totally different animal than the original.
Yup

I watched Toy Story 3 (in 3-D) with my two boys on Father's day. It is worth seeing, especially if you can see it in 3-D.

I also watched "I am a cyborg... but it's okay" on the Sundance Channel recently. It is a Korean film (fictional drama) about mental illness. It was good and captured my interest, but my interest in it probably had as much to do with my curiosity about how mental illness is perceived and managed in other cultures as it did the story. So if it sucks, I apologize in advance.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

the chinese govt donated 5 million dollars towards the film, so they would never allow for the political environment to be explored.

Sounds interesting.  Did it offer any insights to what you sought?
