OK so I was a big Karate Kid doubter.  But after reading all the positive responses on this site I went and checked it out.   It's GOOD.  Way better than I expected.

I also just saw The Road.  Awesome movie.  Harsh, but awesome.

Best movie I have seen in years.
The Road right?   Certainly the best movie I've seen in a looong time.

+3 for The Road, movie was just awesome, great acting felt sooo real

"The Losers". I initially thought it was about how Lakers and the refs took the title from us but it's just another action flick. Zoe Saldana made it bearable.

Today: Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and Die Another Day. Now watching Tomorrow Never Dies. Yesterday I watched Thunderball, Golden Eye, From Russia with Love, You Only Live Twice and Diamonds are Forever plus the Bourne Identity. Sigh don't ask  :-\

The last movie I saw of my own will was the Count of Monte Cristo. The movie deviated quite a bit from the story I remembered but it was wasn't bad.

Saw a bunch of movies lately, so here goes.

The Road- Dug it, but it wasn't as fantastic as I thought it'd be.  Visually it was beautiful, but I didn't think it had enough tension in it.

-Wolfman- transversely, this wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  It was pretty blah, and not worth a rent, but from what I'd heard I was preparing myself for MST3K material.

Legion- Craptastic.  I have a soft spot for end of the world movies, and this still struck out with me.  Awful, awful dialogue.

The Hidden- Late 80s buddy cop movie with a sci-fi twist.  It's nothing fantastic, but it's pretty original.

Up in the Air- Loved it.  Definitely deserved all the award season pub its got.  George Clooney delivers another winner.

the Perfect Getaway- Decent rental.  Steve Zahn is always a good time, and it keeps your attention throughout.

Notorious- I usually dig Hitchcock, and this one of his most praised movies, but it didn't do much for me.  I bet in its day it was something else, but so many movies have ripped off Notorious' ending that it doesn't deliver much of a whollop anymore.

I'm watching License to Kill right now. Can't believe I'd forgotten what an awful Bond Timothy Dalton was.
