The Running Man - a TRUE Classic.

Maria Conchita Alonso - "What happened to Buzz Saw?"

Arnold - "He had to split."

LOL!

just saw American Sniper (I know, a little behind the game on that).  excellent movie.  Can understand why Bradley Cooper got rave reviews in that role.

Black Mass

Very well done film. Even though I have no clue how the actual Whitey Bulger was, Depp was impressive.

Kudos to the rest of the cast, they were very convincing, even Landry from Friday Night Lights, (Todd from Breaking Bad).

Strange to me why our government would let Bulger be so criminal...makes me wonder how often the good guys work with the bad guys and vice versa.

Makes it difficult to identify between the two.

"Big Trouble in Little China" and "American Sniper"

Loved the silliness in BTILC seen it a few x over the years.

Not big of war movies unless it's over the top. Which makes it funny to me. But it wasn't bad.

"It Follows"

Amazing movie.  See it.

We saw "Everest" (in 3D) last night.  Good movie.

"It Follows"

Amazing movie.  See it.

I thought it was just ok - a nice change of pace from standard horror movie tropes though.

I watched the new Terminator movie, and it was...not ok.  It was pretty awful, and not even in a particularly fun way.  Though watching Emilia Clarke try and impersonate Linda Hamilton's badass Sarah Connor was consistently funny.

Oh, and I also watched "Man of Tai Chi", a Chinese kung-fu movie.  Keanu Reeves directed it and plays the main villain, but the main character is a stuntman who's a friend of his (Tiger Chen).  Nothing amazing but some really fun fight scenes.  Be warned - the dialogue regularly bounces back and forth from Chinese to English.

- Phoenix (2015)

Good mystery, great ending. Subtitles.

- Mad Max, Fury Road (2015)

Good, and violent, popcorn movie. I've always like Theron as an actress.

The Drop - last night. Very good film noir with a sense of impending malice. Not for kids.

The Martian (3D) - tonight. Reminded me of Apollo 13 in a way. Have a family member high in NASA and this is definitely the way they roll. Masters of improvisation and ingenuity. 3D worked well enough without screwing up the movie. Nice visuals. Matt Damon did a nice job too.

-It Follows: Saw it a couple of months ago, and also enjoyed it. A bit more off the path than popular films, but nearly all horror films coming out these days tend to suck, so I think the uniqueness of this film actually made it better.

-The Visitors: Case in point, pretty bad from a "horror" standpoint, if that's how it was intended to be categorized (unclear?). But it was entertaining, the plot was actually interesting, and the crowd had a lot of fun with it.

-Pawn Sacrifice: Good movie about Bobbie Fisher, spends as much/more time on his psychological issues, which just appealed to my taste. Interesting to learn about his issues, was generally unaware of his personal psych struggles and family history.

-The Martian: Agree with above, enjoyable film. Good mix of seriousness and humor and tells an interesting story.

I watched Sinister 2 a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't nearly as good as the first one. The first one was different and out there, which made it spooky. You knew what was going on the whole time with the second one, so it wasn't nearly as exciting.

The Station Agent.

Peter Dinklage is the best.

That one was solid.  Worth watching for sure.

I saw "Everest" last night and "The Martian" tonight.  Sorta similar in some ways.   Everest is kind of a bummer.  The Martian is good fun.
