MI Rogue Nation. It's impressive that Cruise at 52 still does most of his own stunts. This is a very strong series and I liked the female lead here better than in the others. She stole some scenes.

I watched Death at a Funeral last night. HILARIOUS. It stars Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, and Tracy Morgan, and pre-Game of Thrones Peter Dinklage plays a large role in the movie. Just a hilarious movie through and through.

Great movie!, Melissa McCarthy’s movies are always a good compromise for my wife and I.  I don’t have to go to silly romantic comedies anymore.

If you didn't know, that's  a remake. The original is one of my favorites:

The last movie I watched was Stalker, a fantastic film that everyone should try to see at least once.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

TP. I actually briefly saw that last night, but in my experience British films haven't really been my cup of tea (pun intended). But now that I look at the cast, there are several actors that I enjoy in there, specifically Alan Tudyk and Dinklage, along with some other GoT actors. I'll have to give it a watch sometime.

saw Fury.  excellent movie.

also saw Chappie --  a more vulgar version of Short Circuit.

Unfinished Business - a 'comedy' that had few laughs

I just saw "The Wrecking Crew" on Netflix live-streaming.  If you are a fan of early Rock and Roll (esp. 60's) music, this documentary is enlightening and entertaining.   The Wrecking Crew was a group of studio musicians who anonymously basically provided us with all (much) of the music we grew up with (if you grew up back then).

All the great producers of the day from Brian Wilson (Beach Boys) to Phil Specter utilized this gifted bunch of musicians to give Rock and Roll its life.   The recordings that we thought were  the Beach Boys or Gary Lewis and the Playboys or The Mamas and Papas or The Tijuana Brass or The Monkees (well, we all know about the Monkees), were actually Wrecking Crew musicians taking the original music and creating works of art in the studio.  The voices and faces of the groups took the limelight, did the tours and got the fame and most of the money, but it was the Wrecking Crew that made the songs into hits.

Really interesting documentary featuring many interviews with members of the Wrecking Crew.
