"Hoosiers" ... trust me, now is the perfect time to watch this movie. If you don't have it, send to, (or go on), Netflix now ... you'll be glad you did. ;)

Went out to the movies tonight and saw "Water for Elephants"...really good movie.  This one you should believe the viewers reviews rather than the critics reviews, although both liked it.  Good story, good, believable actors who allow you to empathize with the situations, and an extremely talented and very lovable elephant.  What more could you want?  Oh, it is PG-13, I think because of violence and a brief scene with sexual connotation. To make a long story very, very short, old man tells the story of why he joined the circus as a young man, and how it changed his life.   All in all, every enjoyable.  My husband really liked it.  Really, I thought the only awkward part of the movie was the man questioning the old man at the beginning of the film.

Vertigo and Thor.

Thor was better than I thought. Went on a discount night and did 3D. Not sure you need the 3d although it does enhance the look of Asgaard. Good comic book movie.

We were going to see "Thor" but some of the comments from people coming out changed our minds...so we saw "Water for Elephants" and loved it.

Saw most of Little Fockers and Dilemma.  Not worth money, but ok.

Just got back from seeing "Force of Five" with
"The Rock" and Vin Diesel, with a 13 year old boy.

We all agreed (?) that it was very comic bookish but not  a bad action movie.

disclaimer: (It was probably terrible, but it has been years since I saw an action movie type...not really my style.  I think the last one I saw was "Broken Arrow" with John Travolta, and I hated that one.  ::) .)

Bicentennial Man, with Robin Williams....great movie..very thought-provoking.

The movie has been out forever, but I just got around to watching it entirely a week or so ago.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
I saw Thor a on opening weekend in IMAX 3D--the 3D part was just a foolish waste of money, but the movie itself was a lot better than I expected. True to the comic, and tie ins all over the place (you'll see Luke Cage & Hawkeye, as well as Hulk & Ironman refs). I'm geeking out hard over the Avengers movie next year, and the Capt America and XMen FC have got me pretty amped, too.

Going to see the Hangover 2 on Sunday--will report back after.
