V for Vendetta one of those movies I enjoy every time I watch it.

I had an hour and a half to kill yesterday, so I picked out the next available movie that wasn't Captain Underpants and saw 47 Meters Down.  It did indeed kill an hour and a half.
Yup

The Accountant - Surprisingly good action thriller and a bit offbeat.

saw that too.  very good and definitely offbeat character.

Hacksaw Ridge - excellent movie
The Visit - offbeat.  better than I expected.  M. Night Shamalyan movie -- one of his better ones since Sixth Sense

Dunkirk.   Arguing with myself as to where it ranks as greatest war films. At the moment I have it #2.

Yeah. Loved it.

I doubt I'll see a better directed movie this year.

Ghost in the Shell --  a bit of a mess story wise.  relied too much on special effects.  could pretty much figure the storyline well in advance

Certainly in the running for the top. Saw it tonight. Outstanding. See in IMAX/70mm format if possible.

Like to hear that.  I've been intrigued, but I might have to go by myself.

Saw the new Planet of the Apes movie.  I really loved the first movie and the second one was good.  The trailer for this one looked terrible, but I still felt compelled to go see the apes on the big screen.  It was indeed pretty awful.  I can't believe they resorted to having a comic relief ape.  Pretty lame.

Bad ape.

Also saw Wonder Woman, which was good, but not as great as I'd been led to believe.
Yup

Finally got the chance to watch Rogue One now that it is on Netflix. As a huge Star Wars nerd, I wasn't disappointed. I was actually very impressed. They filled the hero against the insurmountable odds role very well. The director went out of their way to sell that scenario.

Great movie. I'd give it a solid 8/10. It is a very well done film even if you haven't seen the rest of them.
