Where the Wilds Things Are

Gotta be in the right mood to watch this one. Tough movie for me to critique. I want to love it for so many reasons, but at the same time I point out so many reasons why I should absolutely hate it, but I dont hate it, I really like it...

Wow. Confusing eh?

Also rewatched Paul again. I freakin' love this movie. Cracks me up everytime. Kristen Wiig steals the scenes that she is in and I love what Pegg and Frost bring to the comedy world.

True, all that stuff about Where the Wild Things Are. Great not-so-great movie that's pretty great.

I'm sure most, if not all, have seen this.  Just a very good work, IMO.

Cheers for sharing that i had never seen it before and found it thoroughly enjoyable

Moonrise Kingdom

Everyone must watch.

I just watched.  Honestly, I didn't enjoy a minute of it.  I'll freely admit I'm not a big fan of Wes Anderson's style, but given the stellar reviews it got, I kept an open mind going in.  But I couldn't get into it.  I just felt like it was quirky for the sake of being quirky, overly precious (which the critics clearly looked right past) and the entire second half was absurd (and not in a good or funny way).  I found this to be one of the most overrated movies I've seen in awhile.

Prometheus ... liked it quite a bit, actually. You can't go into it thinking it's another in the "Alien" franchise, cuz while it's a Ridley Scott movie and has some parallels, it's meant to stand apart and on it's own.

Hope to see Skyfall soon ... big Havier Bardem fan.

Watching Skyfall after this game with the girlfriend. Can't wait.

Prometheus was indeed a separate film, but not really. I like ty-ins like that.

If Wes Anderson's style really grates on you (or anyone), your reaction makes sense. It is very 'precious'.

Finally saw the Godfather for the first time.  Thought it was good, but not one of the best movies ever.  I found it rather slow and predictable.  Plus the whole Italy sequence was 30 minutes that was totally and utterly unnecessary in the movie.

Apparently you hate beautiful landscapes, and one of the most gorgeous natural beauties ever captured on film.

Thanksgiving is over so in our family it's time for the holiday season. We brought it in with Christmas Vacation and Home Alone. Two classic favorites for me where I've almost gotten the words right to both movies all the way through.

Just added nothing to the movie (except that of course).

Skyfall

Not a Bond movie. Decent action flick.
