KG IS THE KING

Can anyone say they are surprised by this?

It's too bad too. Z-Bo has been fitting in well next to Gasol and Conley has been playing well. But couple this AI outburst with Mayo and Love getting into a fight at practice, Chemistry is a huge issue. I see a sign and trade in Rudy Gay's future.

I guess it's surprising to see issues arise so quickly. You would think he wouldn't get "fooled" again as he claimed he was in Detroit. How does the saying go? "Fool me once....? Grin

"If I can't practice, I can't practice. It is as simple as that. It ain't about that at all. It's easy to sum it up if you're just talking about practice. We're sitting here, and I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we're talking about practice. I mean listen, we're sitting here talking about practice, not a game, not a game, not a game, but we're talking about practice. Not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game last it's my last but we're talking about practice man. How silly is that?

Now I know that I'm supposed to lead by example and all that but I'm not shoving that aside like it don't mean anything. I know it's important, I honestly do but we're talking about practice. We're talking about practice man. (laughter from the media crowd) We're talking about practice. We're talking about practice. We're not talking about the game. We're talking about practice. When you come to the arena, and you see me play, you've seen me play right, you've seen me give everything I've got, but we're talking about practice right now. (more laughter) "

I want another classic quote from AI

What a Pub Should Be

What did he expect when he went to Memphis?  That he was gonna be the man?

One look at the backcourt of Conley/Mayo should've told him about this team's direction and what he role would've most likely been.

Should've went to Charlotte...

Completely agree. At least he can have a starting job in Charlotte at the off guard position. Reuniting with coach Brown can't be a bad thing right?  Roll Eyes

If Chris Wallace wants he can settle this quite easily for him by shipping him Tony Allen and JR Giddens for Mike Conley and Wallace can then tell Lionel Hollins to start AI. Wallace saves some cash next year for his owner so he's happy. AI gets to start and be the man, so he's happy. The C's get Mike Conley, so all of Celticdom is happy. And we get rid of Tony Allen, so I'm happy.

It's a win-win-win-win all around.

I thought it was going to take at LEAST five or six games before AI complained.  I wish there was a way I could bet on things like "Memphis will be an absolute circus."

Here's the thing with Chris Wallace; you know IMMEDIATELY that they are bad ideas.  Like, all GMs screw up; Danny shouldn't have signed POB, that was a bad move but at least it was somewhat justifiable at the time.

When Chris Wallace screws up, you KNOW it's a bad move the instant the press release is made.

"Let's trade our young All-Star big man for Javaris Crittendon!"  "Let's sign AI and ask him to come off the bench!"  You don't need to know that much about basketball to know that these were REALLY DUMB IDEAS!

Maybe they should trade for Zach Randolph, that's always guaranteed to help.  Oh crap, they already did.  Maybe they can drag Ruben Patterson out of retirement and reunite those two guys.

Hell, maybe attendance will go up at Grizzlies games, just on the off chance that a full-fledged riot breaks out on the Memphis bench.  I'd pay to see that.

AI's main beef is not playing in crunch time of a close game.

If he was playing 25-30 minutes and with the game on the line, he wouldn't be bickering.

And Marc Gasol, who so far this season is averaging 19-12 and played well for them last year. The Memphis color crew is actually kinda testy about this, if Marc Gasol ends up turning into the rare 20/10 post player this trade instantly becomes validated.

Are you kidding?

The most overrated player in NBA history would complain if they played him 42 minutes and he didn't start....Or he'd complain if he started and played 36...etc etc etc  He would complain if the team was winning and he wasn't getting his rendition of his share of touches...Notice he's not complaining about losing...He doesn't care.

It's amazing that anybody understands what he says....He's for the most part incoherent.

So is his game.
