Im kinda nervous of a let down game here.  We are playing an inferrior team, at home the night after a road game in Charlottes season opener.  I think they will be jacked up and we may be a little relaxed after last nights huge win.

Maybe if it wasnt the home opener. I feel they croud will get them jacked up.
Maybe that will keep their heads in tonights game, but I have my doubts. Especially considering how last season started off. A solid team win against the Cavs and then a unfocused loss to the Pacers.

And is it my imagination here or do the bobcats always seem to play us very tough?
It's not, they match up well with us. Gerald Wallace is always a pain for the C's. Though we'll see how their retooled line up does.

I think the Celts will come out strong and really beat up the Bobcats. The saw the Lakers get their rings last night and the Big 3 walked by with a disgusted look on their faces. Celts are going to tear it up right away. Yes the Bobcats do play us tough but if we come out fire look out cause this one could be over very very fast! To bad i will miss it because i will be working 5-10, thinking about DVR but idk its like i will know the score when i get home.. Wonder if it will be the same? Has anyone else done it? How is it?

It frees you up to focus on the little things happening on the court and not worry about the win (if they lose I just delete it).  Plus you can zip through commercials, halftime, timeouts, FTs, etc, and go through the game in 1:15 or so.  I'd recommend it.

If you can keep yourself from finding out the score I actually find DVR watching more enjoyable because you can fast forward through the time outs and stuff.

Tonight, it's really gonna hit me that I'm not living in Boston anymore.

Hope my father and his buddy enjoy my seats because I sure wish I could be there.

A bit of a concern for a letdown game tonight and our spotty track record against Charlotte.  However, after seeing our depth last night and knowing that they'll be a fired up home crowd behind them tonight, I think it'll be a game that we'll pull away in sometime late 3rd quarter or early fourth.

I also worry about some let down, but let's be honest.  We're better and deeper.  This is their first game whereas we now have some of the jitters worked out.  It we can just give them a steady dose of runs, they'll eventually concede.  If we allow them to hang in through 3 quarters, I worry about our starters having to play heavy minutes again.

I don't want a Ray Allen last second shot tonight, i want total dominance. The combination of a win last night, and an explosive performance tonight will really send the message that we're here.

My wish, exactly. TP to FL as usual, thanks for the game thread!

I won't watch the game this time - it's a given, I've slept only 2 and a half hours last night - but I hope I can catch a replay tomorrow. And hopefully the game won't be close. I'm hoping for a big blowout win which would allow our starters to get some rest, especially when you consider this is a back to back after an exhausting game in Cleveland.

The Bobcats are one tough competitor for Boston usually but I feel that our new bench will make the difference.

Let's go Celtics!

The Bobcats were a scary team during the Jason Richardson era (lol) but with Gerald Wallace and Ray Felton being their only real scoring options, I think we'll handle them easy tonight. Go C's!

I'll be excited seeing a well played game, taking none of it for granted, resulting in a win. The seeds of disappointment are sown with taking opponents lightly, by individual players, teams and or posters here  ;)

I really do, I suppose from having loved playing the game, have an appreciation for the journey as to how its done as much as the justified win(s) that should follow.

Aw heck, at the Garden in their season opener, this contest could very well be the first of many blowouts of the 09-10 Championship season, as we mostly expect  8)

Thanx FL for the efforts, TP
