I'm as excited about a non Sox series as I've been in a long time.  Really an excellent matchup with a lot of the games best players.

Pedro getting the start in Yankee Stadium for Game 2 has the potential to be something truly special.

Sadly, I like the Yankees in 6.

It's a very exciting series for me, living in New Jersey.  I'm right between the two fan bases, so it's a lot of fun.

That said, I'm pulling hard for the Phillies.

Phillies baseball son.  
Reality sets in:Rollins outplays Jeter for the series.  
No stopping this ballclub.
If you read the experts they say alot about CC, like he is going to win every game.  
Phillies are stacked 1-8, CC isn't going to be able to stop it.  
Yankees can score runs, but they aren't scoring that many in the postseason, mostly 4 or 5 runs a game.  Philly is going over 7 runs for most of this series.

I hope the Yankees win.

Hear me out. I'm not from Boston, I'm actuall from NY, but I don't care at all about baseball.

But sports are kind of like a movie or TV show. If the villians never show up with their game face on, what's the point of watching?

Since we didn't win last year, the Lakers winning, while disgusting and revolting, was good in retrospect. It motivates us even further. Who needs a hero if there is no villain trying to tear down everything you know and love?

Ugh.  26 titles makes them enough of a villain for me.  I'd prefer they continue to lose.
