Geez ... Chicago blew it big-time ... many chances wasted on errors. Sad.

Chicago is a better team, but for the second time this year, they've cost themselves a win.

There's nothing I hate worse than seeing a team beat itself.

Absolutely ... no way they should have lost this game ... reminds me of the Pats with Grogan! (Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory). Was hoping for an OT win ... oh, well ... I still think they'll be deep in the playoffs.

Bears definitely let that one slip away.

Too many boneheaded mistakes.

I think the Bears have excellent talent and play stupidly. And they've been doing it for years. The team has very little discipline regarding mistakes and usually that comes from the coach down in football. Set the tone early that stupid self defeats don't happen or else and a team won't self implode. The Bears have been doing it pretty consistently in the Lovey era.

Spiking the ball in Merriman's face ... not the smartest move ... let's see if it has repercussions later in the game, my guess is: yes.

Chargers would be so much more effective if they'd run the ball more.

... and had a different coach other than Norv Turner. ;)

Seriously, the guy is one of the most underachieving coaches in recent memory, and yet he always gets work.

Yeah ... I've always wondered about that ... does he have more connections than what is commonly known? I just don't get it, because most of what I've read or heard, does not point to him being one of the most popular guys in the hierarchy of professional football.

I agree. I mean were you guys as floored about Turner getting the job after the Schottenheimer firing. I mean talk about going from the frying pan and into the fire with underachieving coaches that never live up to expectations. I never understood his getting another job, much less the San Diego job given who his predecessor was.

Beautiful catch, that.

Speaking of fantasy, I need Brandon Marshall to majorly outperform Buckhalter for the rest of the game.  I don't see it happening.

(Darn you, bye weeks!  Darn you, Jason Campbell!)
