I just hate the big show.  And as much as I like the morning show sometimes they talk about some stupid politically incorrect thing about like maybe how stupid some woman protesting against the Iraq war is, or something, and they talk about it 20 minutes, so I change the channel, and I come back an hour later and I'm like "are they still talking about this" cause they are.

They claim it's their most popular segment. If they say so

Update here: WEEI lands ESPN.

Landing Peter Gammons and others is a huge move by WEEI.

Another interesting part of this story:

Quote
This is the first step in WEEI’s plan to move to an FM signal, perhaps as soon as the end of the Red Sox’ postseason run. Entercom Communications, WEEI’s owner, possesses a pair of FM stations in the market: WAAF 97.7/107.3, and Mike 93.7.

I've switched exclusively to 98.5, and Peter Gammons isn't going to make me move back.  I just can't stand the shouting on WEEI, and except for Dale and Holley, when they aren't shouting, they're spouting politics.  I want sports talk, not a radio reprise of Fox news.

Dale and Holley are decent, but Felger and Masarotti are every bit as good.

I like Mass, Felger yells just as much and is usually nonsensical. Tito wont talk to him anymore and pretty much bashes him on all possible occasions.  I think WEEI talking to Tito and BB every week puts them ahead in my book.

Sure Felger yells, but he and Masarotti aren't yelling at the same time.  Half of the Big Show is 5 guys all talking at the same time and trying to drown each other out.

Ya, but again, all the big guests go to WEEI.  They had Theo on this morning.  I mean WEEI is worth listening to for the guests if not the hosts.  However I do like the fact that they have former playesr on the Big show.  I mean Guys like Diosi, Merloni, and Schilling know a great deal more than Mazz and Felger.  So yelling or not, there is some good info to be had.

That will change over time, and it won't take that long, either.

My day as a radio listener...

7 - 10: Jim and Margery (96.9)

10 - 2: Dale and Holley

2 - 5.50: Music

5.50 - 6 or so: The Big Show Whiner Line

6 - 10: Michelle McPhee (96.9)... But not if she is talking like an idiot, her show is good 50% of the time. If it's bad then I turn the dial to a music station or throw in a CD.

I'm not a fan of anything on the Sport's Hub to be completely honest.

Well we know BB and Tito wont, and those are the two I think most people want to Listen to
