Sometimes, I still can't believe Adam Yauch is gone. I guess we can only honor him in the way we act and react every day. We can try, at least.

I don't know if anyone else saw this, but they named a park after him. If I ever get a chance, I'll go there.

Pretty much anything off the new Vampire Weekend album "Vampires of the Modern City".

As an alt/indie rock fan,  this album is top to bottom the best album to come out, IMO,  since Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs" back in 2010.  Awesome stuff.

WALK THE MOON is a group that's coming to my school's spring concert (Northwestern Dillo Day, for anyone who's curious). I'd never heard of them, but they're pretty good. Sound a bit like Young the Giant.

Such a good song

I love Randy Newman, and you really needed another Tommy Point.

For my Great Uncle, Lem ... one of the dearest people who ever touched my life, and a World War I hero.

My maternal grandfather died when I was young, so he took over that role in my life (for his brother).

To say he was a sweet and wondetrful human being is such an understatement, and only those lucky enough to have known him know just how much of one.

I was doing an internship in St. Croix when he died and could not attend his funeral, and I felt so badly about it, but not long after I received the U.S. flag from his coffin, (via his wishes), and it has been with me on my bedroom wall, (above my head), ever since ... watching over me.

This was his favorite song, (which he forced me to play and sing for him every chance he could), and which, in my humble opinion, has rarely been done as close to perfectly as this version, (by the late Eva Cassidy), and the original, by Judy Garland, of course.

I love you and miss you, Lem ... you're never far away.

God bless our troops, their families, veterans, the United States, and anyone ever affected by the tragedy of war.

Hope y'all had a great Memorial Day!

I don't know if there are any fellow Ants here at C'blog, but I just wanted to share what IMHO has to be the best encore for a Dave show I have ever seen.  SPAC has always been my fav venue.  This year was unfortunately the coldest I can say it has ever been there though.  However, I have also never heard it louder there, then the N2 encore.

This was my first "Ants" encore I've been privileged to hear, and while Boyd's violin jam wasn't the longest or best, I have never heard such energy from a crowd.  You could literally barely hear Dave singing.

And then, just when I thought there was no better way to shut the place down, and was about to leave after the band left the stage, the rarest of rare things to see happened (and this was no trick, but definitely a treat!)....

DOUBLE ENCORE!!!
