Personally, I have to go with the 90's just for producing some of the most CLASSIC movies of all time.

Shawshank Redemption
Pulp Fiction
Saving Private Ryan
Schindlers List
Good Fellas
Braveheart
Forrest Gump
Titanic (like it or not, it's probably the most popular of all time)
There's something about Marry
Casino
Dazed and Confused
Godfather Part 3
Clerks

I think Godfather 3 is a terrible movie, and I think that's the consensus among critics, as well.  However, different strokes for different folks.  It wouldn't make my top-200 list for best movies of the 90s.

i also voted 90's btw, just so many good movies, and i don't have personal knowledge of 70's and before. Ive seen movies from then of course, but i feel like the 90's had just a  wealth of awesome film making.

To bad the 2000's (at least past 01-02) for the most part haven't followed suit.

GF 3 probably wouldn't crack my top 100 for the 90's but i did a google search for most popular movies of the 90's and that happend to be like #25 or something like that.

The 2000's was a close 2nd for me

why, if i may ask?

This entire decade has been one crappy remake of movies from previous decades + comic book/ cartoon movies after another.

There have been a exceptions of course, but so far this decade has been pretty lackluster IMO

I would agree with the crappy remake part but the two main reasons would probably be 1) i am a huge nerd and am a lord of the rings Fanatic. 2) My favorite genre would have to be comedy and IMO no decade even comes close to producing the number of laugh out loud comedys that the 00's have (Step Brothers, Old School, Grandmas Boy, Anchorman, Superbad) That's just my kind of dumb humor i guess. lol.

  • Yup
their are no decades just Robert De Niro

I was thinking about him recently.  When was the last time he did something decent?  I used to love him, but it seems he's either not getting good roles, or just grown weary of challenging roles.
