Good stuff here as always, Redz.  We need more "pantheons of lexicon" references.

But there so few truly great ones hence their pantheon status.  ;)

Thanks TB, ACF

The perfect storm of inspiration, motivation, and free time doesn't seem to brew up very often these days.  Much like the rare urge to dust and do windows I need to roll with it when the impulse strikes.  Felt good to write some again though.

Now this would be news worth reporting.  A frightening hybrid.  :)

SHARK WEEK (a bit early)

Alleged shark bite in Truro.  This link is from the LA Times.  People do indeed love a good shark story.  Still not confirmed what type of shark bit this dude, but suffice it to say people with exposed limbs should not be straying far from the shore.  Derrrr....

Back in the late 60s my uncle ran a restaurant in Truro, I think it's name was Thompson's Clam Bar.  We used to go swimming down near the lighthouse.  Good times.  It was before "Jaws," and I don't think there were any sharks in New England waters back then.  ;)  (Probably the sharks felt safer visiting after nature started encroaching, the lighthouse had to be moved, and the book/movie let them know that we are scared to death of them.)

;)  Thompson's was in Harwichport. A real landmark restaurant that closed up in the early 90's

There must have been two of them, Redz.   It looks about the same, but was in Truro, and not on the water.  It was on the highway to P-Town. I don't remember that part...was it Rte. 6?  I will double check with my brother tomorrow...he worked there one summer, too.

Hmmm...interesting.  I'll ask my mother in law!  Love a little restaurant history.
