Hey, I like Dooling, but why do we need to acquire him for 10-15 mpg at PG or SG.  Dooling can't play SF, so he's not a major priority.

Like it or not, Dooling's size gives him a pretty big advantage in working with House (House would be the 2 guard on offense and play the point on defense).   That's 2 positions vs. 1.

I want a good SG/SF as well, but Dooling would be a perfect fit for this team AND probably a realistic one.

Dooling is an interesting player.  Super athletic, good ball-handler, good size, decent shooter, but he's never really capitalized fully on those tools.  He's steadily increased his 3 pt% over the last couple years (though I can't see him going anywhere but down from 42%).  He's been in the league forever but he just turned 29 in May.

Solid perimeter shooter, adequate defender despite what you read from some here, seems to be a pretty smart ballplayer, love his feet, think he could be a good defender in a system that demands it.

I'm just not convinced Sactown wants a bag of Danny's trash.

How about this?

To Boston: CJ Miles and Matt Harping (retires)
To Utah: Glenn Davis ($4.5MM), Tony Allen, and Brian Scalabrine

I believe this works from a cap perspective AND provides the Celts with a SF/SG type.

Still believe that Boozer will end up in Chicago and Hinrich will be in Portland.

The only problem is if Boozer gets traded, Utah will target Millsap not Davis.  I can't see Utah losing both those guys...

The question is where they'd prefer to play Thomas, PF or SF.   Depthwise, I could see them wanting Davis if they get rid of either Milsap OR Boozer.
