It would take the best half of Philly's roster to get me to consider that deal based on talent alone.

I'm even more against it now that we have Sheed on board---go for it this year with Ray since we're obviously making the push for the title this year.

I concur with my colleagues.  That deal, even with Young included, blows.

I still might not do it but you are undervaluing Thaddeous Young. He is 21 and a very unique talent who already in his 2nd season averaged 15pts 5reb and 1.2 steals. He can be an elite defender capable of defending multiple positions. His offensive game is smooth and versatile. Not to mention that Iggy is a top level, young talent who can also defend. Granted you are giving up Rondo, but only one more year of Ray. Also, Miller has a few good years left so there is time to find a serviceable pg going foreward. A core of Perk, Young, Iguadala > core of Rondo, Perk for our future.

Not to mention Philly would not take this offer.

We're not trading Ray or Rajon.

As I've said before, if Rondo goes out, either CP3 or Deron Williams is coming in.

The trade that should happen is Rondo, Ray Allen and BBD for Chris Paul, Tyson Chandler and Julian Wright.

I agree with the homeys, Young included it's money, if you're going to do a deal to sacrifice now it better pay off for the future, Ray's too Ray.

What about if they throw Thadeus Yong into the deal?
That's more interesting then, but I still don't think I"d do the deal. Young hasn't been able to play the 3 for Philly and has instead been a poor man's Shawn Marion.

  • Rondo = Good
Andre Iggs is a really solid player, and a good defender.

That said, no thank you to this trade.

I'd rather have Rondo's future than Iggy's. No deal.

This is a trade that doesn't work for either team - for all the "no"s it's getting here, it would also get a no from Philly.

Ahhhh.  It seems crazy but there is almost nobody that I would trade Rondo and Allen for.  I think we take a huge step backwards by playing with a starting line-up.  I just want to keep that consistency because I think that's one of our biggest advantages going into the season.  Every other contending team will be rolling out a new starting line-up from the one they had last year other than us.  We won't have the same kind of adjustment period and I think we can use that to our advantage to jump out to the best record.

I don't want to see Ray or Rondo go anywhere, and especially not for those two because I think Igoudala is overrated.

I wouldn't trade rondo alone for both of them
can't we get back to top celtics of all time instead of trade ideas like this.
