looks like D'Antoni really wants this guy. Wonder what the Knicks would give up.

Smart move by the Knicks. D'Antoni needs a Nash/Kidd/Rubio type passer A+ court vision guy to run his offense.

According to the front page the deal would be Nate Robinson and Hill for Rubio.

That would give the Wolves a potentially stacked front court:

Big Al
Kevin Love
Jordan Hill
Etan Thomas
Darius Songaila

But they'd have a very, very small starting backcourt (Flynn and Nate Robinson I would assume).

Rubio makes sense on the Knicks though.  I'm sure he could develop really well under D'Antoni.  The Knicks are still gonna be awful whether they get Rubio or stay as they are, though.

Nate Robinson and Jordan Hill is not worth Rubio. That would be a steal for Minnesota. Nate Robinson is a fun player, but too small to have a real impact on a team. And if Minnesota wanted Hill, they could've picked him sixth to go with Rubio. What sense does it make? Maybe Hill and Robinson for Flynn, but not Rubio.
Go Celtics.

How stupid would Minnesota be for trading Rubio for New york's garbage? While we're on the subject, the two point guard thing was stupid. They should have taken Curry, who at least has the ability to play off of Rubio.

How does Minny still have any fans? They traded OJ last year, and now they are going to trade Rubio? Just get it over with and trade Jefferson for a bag of chips and a diet Pepsi. What good are the T-wolves? All I see is the clippers in a hideous blue uniform.

Minny has got to have better offers than Nate+Jordan Hill. I say let the Knicks be stuck with who they picked.
Celtics fan for life.

If the Knicks picked Jordan "Mikki Moore" Hill, then that's who they should have, not Rubio. Turn then down Minny!

D'Antoni ball is the only system in which Rubio will flourish at all. Any sort of half-court game he will get dominated by stronger, more athletic PG's, so really, when you think about it Rubio is more likely to be a complete bust in Minny than he is in NY--plus, there are rumors that Rubio is not happy about Minnesota's small market. The trade would certainly be good for Rubio and the Knicks, but Minnesota is screwed no matter what. They took two PG's with the 5th and 6th picks. The idiots.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I'd want Chandler and Lee (agreed to an extension) and a future pick or maybe Nate instead of the pick.

That's a lot for a player who's gonna fail.

That would be my asking price from NY too.

If the rumored Amare trade to GState is scuttled (sounds like the Dubs don't want to give up Curry now), maybe Minnesota can make a play for him using Rubio.

Apparently Minnesota's gotten a lot of calls from around the league.

Good move for them to take him and flynn. They can keep flynn and get value for rubio.

Why more people didn't see that strategy in the rush to act like Minnesota was stupid is beyond me.

they took the two last talented prospects in a awful draft. now they can trade one for value instead of being stuck with one good PG and a under talented big picked for his position and not value.

Advantage: wolves.
