Who would you take?  I'm taking Thabeet. No He can't shoot.

I'll take Rubio. No way to skinny, and he's from europe.

Tuff Pick at two. Who would you take.

  • Rondo = Good
Rubio, no doubt about it.  Rubio + Conley as a young guard rotation wouldn't be as good as Rondo is now, but looking to the future that could be a very good rotation, and once Rubio comes into his own (and I really believe he will) then we can trade Conley.

Thabeet would certainly benefit being in our system and around players like KG and Perk and with Thibodeau and Cliff but I think if we made that trade we'd need a better PG prospect than Conley for the future.

So you would have passed on KG or Dirk?

this actually isn't the rumor, though.

but i guess if it was, i'd go Harden or Rubio and trade Conley down the line...

I would like the risk of taking the Big Man. 1st rounder big men usually seem to go either way, Really Great or Really Bad. But I still say take Thabeet, b/c his possibilities would be higher with Thib training him, and Kg working with him. Even Perkins has developed a better midrange shot from 10 feet out.

So yea, trade Rondo for Conley and pick up Thabeet
Can't stop, Rondo!

Thabeet isn't that impressive.  I'd rather go with Tyreke Evans than Rubio.  I liked what I saw of him in the Olympics, but Evans impressed me more.

Either way, this trade as it is reported is a crap deal.

I hope that Ford is incorrect.  He seems to call a lot of people, but how accurate has he been with projected deals?
