On yahoo.com, there is a report saying that San Antonio is in serious talks with the Bucks with Richard Jefferson being the main target. The Bucks would be pretty much getting back a bunch on old vets with expiring contracts to help ease the wallet. One of the names is Bruce Bowen. I have no doubt that he would instantly be waived by the Bucks and could be on his way back to a contender for at least one more year. Now personally, I hate Bowen and think he is a big time dirty player. That being said, i would still love to have him on my team to back up Pierce. If he could give the celts 15- 18 minutes a night and hit the corner 3, then why not. It wouldnt cost much and it would give the Celts a cheap solution for this year. It seems like a no risk situation.

I don't see why not. He'd be an asset and with the vet. min. it's low-risk.

dirty player? no sir.

In all seriousness, Bowen would be a great option for the vet minimum and hey, you gotta like his track record with kobe bryant.

I think Bowen is well past his prime, there's a reason he wasn't getting much run on a depleted Spurs squad last year. I also think if he's bought out he'd go back to San Antonio before Boston.
Go Celtics.

Good fourth wing in the rotation. Asking more of him is likely asking too much.

Bowen is going back to San Antonio

Thats the best video I've seen in weeks. Imagine Bowen just Bruce Lee yelling as he kicks Wally. TP
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Yeah but his contract is non guaranteed and hence could be terminated opening Bowen up as an UFA. This trade actually makes the OP's idea even more likely, not less.

Doubt it, MIL can shave half his contract of their books by cutting him. The whole reason they did this was to cut payroll, and his contract is only 50% guaranteed.

He definitely won't be playing with Milwaukee. I was just being a smart arse.

Bowen is a bit older (at 48) and  would just be taking minutes away from walker
