Is there anyway we could get both Ricky Rubio and Amare Stoudemire?

Rubio is going to be an extremely good point guard even in his first year. He has been pro for 4 years already. He started being pro at 14. I believe he would be a great back up for Rondo and he is also a great starter if Rondo gets traded.

Stoudemire is already a force in the NBA. He is really young and he can overpower almost anyone in the NBA. He would provide pretty good center material. He would also provide a great future for the Celtics once KG, Paul and Ray (Maybe) have their numbers in the rafters.

These both would provide wonders for the Celts now and in the future!  ;D

Trade Ray Allen Rajon Rondo to Pheonix. For Leandro Barbosa Amare Staudemire and #14 pick.

Trade Amare Staudemire to Minnesota. For Big Al and #6

Trade the #14 pick and the #6 pick to Memphis for the # 2 pick

Trade TA, Scal, and Giddens to Sactown for Noccioni

Kidd(MLE)/Marbury/Rubio
Barbosa/House/Giddens
Pierce/Noccioni/Walker
Garnett/Mcdyess (lle)/ Powe
jefferson/Perkins/Moore

Sooooooooooooooooo unlikely though.

Sort of just realized that trade scenario had us trading amare, the guy you wanted on the team. But i think big al gives the celtics that same sort of future big man.

Also let me say in no way think this will or should happen, just throwing out the scenario that jumped into my head.

There really is no chance we are gonna get rubio and amare. Mainly cuz i don't think we're going to get either.

Rubio would not be able to come in as the starter. Doc very rarely plays rookies at all until after the allstar break. Plus he's 19 (i think) and is pretty skinny and theres no way we could get rubio and staudemire without giving up rondo somewhere.

  • Rondo = Good
Not in any way that would make us better.

Nah, Rondo is ready to become a franchise player. Amare will turn the Celtics into the golden state warriors. Absolutely no D.

Our best scenario is to trade for a backup center, and sign Mcdyess. Everything else is secondary.

Kidd's probably going to stay in Dallas, and for more than the MLE.

So basically you want to completely destroy our championship team?

And why would we pay Kidd the MLE and then Marbury the LLE or whatever you are suggesting. There is no chance and no reason to have both Marbury and Kidd.

Oh, and Rubio is garbage, check the stats, don't fall for the hype, PEACE!

i honestly don't see why we would want amare.  sure, he's a beast, but he's a beast who needs the ball, and doesn't really like to play D.  Starting him at C over perkins, in my mind at least, would be a downgrade.  Amare would take touches from our 3 scorers, I just don't see him fitting into the "team" concept.

To answer your question though, yes.

Just for fun Ill try and be ammusing and think of something...I dont want this to happen at all though...

Ray, Perk, Tony Allen, future pick for Amare...

Rondo to Memphis for Number 2, Warrick

Rubio/Marbury
House/
Pierce/Warrick
KG/Baby/Powe
Amare/Scal

Yeah trading for Rubio and Amare is just a god awful idea that makes us much much worse....
