How about Ray Allen & Bill Walker for Caron Butler & the number 5 pick! I think that is a totally legit trade on both sides & helps both teams for various reasons. Salary for Washington while keeping them competitive while also chopping salary for 2010. And helps Boston get a little bit younger & defensively better while not losing much offensively. When could than select Harden or grab Thabeet if teams started to sour on Thabeet by the time draft rolls around. Although I myself I would like for us to select Stephon Curry with the #5 pick if we landed this trade because I believe Curry is that good plus he fills the shooting at the PG saga if Rondo struggles in games when other teams make him a shooter 1st.

Roy maybe you can tell how possible this trade is with Ray & Caron's salary as I dont know how they match up.

I don't think Caron Butler's is the type of salary the Wizards are looking to move.  That just isn't enough value for them.

As I mentioned in another thread, Washington ought to be offering the #5 pick and a bunch of expiring contracts (Haywood, James, Pecherov) for a high-impact player, such as Amare Stoudamire. That'd immediately turn them into a legit force in the East.

Or they could offer that for Shaq.

Arenas, Butler, Jamison, Shaq...scary team.

With Amare they'd be even scarier probably but I think it's more likely the Suns would trade Shaq.

Nope, Washington wouldn't do that.

I'd love it but sub Walker with Giddens

Never know! I have seen much worse. A prime Charles Barkley for Jeff Hornacek & Tim Perry, Dennis Johnson for Rick Robey, Joe B. Carroll for Celtic Dynasty! lol
