He is supposevly returing to the NBA this season.

Toronto has tendered him a qualifying offer.

I wonder what are the chances of the Celtics getting him in a sign and trade?

Yes to multiple Pierce backups including Delfino.
And speaking of Toronto, what has happened to Garbajosa?  Did he ever recover?  Is he healthy and available?

I have always been a Delfino fan.  He always struck me as a tough defender with decent offensive skills.  I don't know how to make it work, or what his value is, but I would not be disapointed at all if he ended up in green.

Thanks but no thanks. Carlos Delfino has zero heart. He's a liability on defense (lack of pride), and isn't a good finisher around the basket. He has a shot, and can create some space for himself via the pumpfake, but again he doesn't finish too well around the rim. I know he's only 26 years old but he moves at the speed of a 36 year old. The only thing I like about him is his veteran status/experience, but I just think he'd be a TERRIBLE fit on the C's.

Toronto desperately want to bring him back to the Raptors, so the only way Boston could get him is by offering a ridiculous contract (full MLE).

No thanks
