Boston trade: Ray Allen, Tony Allen, Scal, Giddens
Houston trade: T-Mac, Battier & Dorsey (or their 1st rounder of this year)

I think that this trade could work for both team, even if we take a risk with T-Mac's health. But for this  reason they can give us also Battier in the trade, and he will be a huge help from the bench.
For Houston, they get rid of a player that don't have nothing else to tell to that team and that city (and that need a change to regenerate himself), taking a great player that have the type of play that they need to help Yao & Artest, and a group of useful players with all expiring contract.
Imagine a motivated T-Mac, and he must be so with near Pierce and KG, and Battier, with a Posey type of use from the bench, in our team...

I think John Thomas got it right when he labeled T-Mac a 'show puppy'

Just pass on T-Mac.

Even if T-MAc is the big part of the trade, my proposal involve not only him...

Trading Ray for a hurt T-Mac who might never be a productive NBA player next year and Battier is a no go.

I am seriously concerned about TMac's health. Then again, Danny has traded for injury prone players (à la LaFrentz or Szczerbiak) in the past. Obviously, if this was the TMac from some years ago the Rockets would not consider this trade idea you posted, they would laugh at it.

I'm intrigued, and I give you TP for provoking my curiosity :P

Just pass on T-Mac.

T-Mac is a cancer and a showdog. The guy really doesn't care about winning.

  • Rondo = Good
As much as I'd be ECSTATIC to get Shane Battier on our team, this trade isn't worth it.

I don't think he is a cancer.  I don't think he cares enough to be a cancer.

Battier would probably be a great SF off the bench, able to play the small PF, or next to Pierce at SG. McGrady is a large risk, but potentially big upside. I'm not sure how good of a 3pt shooter McGrady is, that's a necessary skill for our starting SG.

I'd probably pass, but maybe not.

McGrady's health is too large of a risk.

I don't think Houston would make this trade anyway.

Besides the 1st round pick being thrown in as cookie. Houston may say no to a T-Mac for Ray straight up. T-Mac when healthy is a top 3 hands down shooting gaurd & I cant think of but 1 better. And thats that Diva/Actress in L.A.I would absolutely love T-Mac for Ray right now with the uncertainty thats comes along with him hoping he gets better for 09' He has played for Doc & now would be the only time to throw out feelers because if he is healthy there is absolutely no-way they trade him.

After watching walker handle him in preseason AND his history of injuries AND Houston play better without him....no thanks
Battier is the guy I want off that team.
